It had a line of rust across the bottom that made it look as if you could stand up inside the car and lift the body off the frame. It also “developed” a hole in the floorboard that you could put your feet through a la Fred Flintstone! Had a piece of plywood under the floor...

1968 Barracuda Senior year of high school.

The rearview mirror was duct taped together and men would ask me about the horsepower and I’d shrug having no idea. My uncle had restored the car for me so it was a beauty.

Countless memories, but my fave story is getting rearended by a VW van full of hippies. Billowing smoke, a runaway dog, and a tweaker passed out on the bed inside is just the tip of the story’s iceberg!

It was so light my friends used to pick it up and move it on me so I couldn’t find it. It also backfired whenever I went over 55 mph.
