Top Up, or Top Down?

Many thanks to Chris Baccus for completing our 200th Tweet & Greet Interview!

Introducing Chris Baccus; Senior Digital Brand Strategist at Wunderman. Avid automotive enthusiast and BMWCCA member. Father of identical twin boys, an avid reader, and foodie.

What was your first car?

  • 3-speed manual Chevy Vega in metallic green. It was the $300 16-year old special.

Any significant memories w/that car?

  • Oh yes, a Vega is full of memories, none of them pleasant. Though the fun part was learning all about brakes. I replaced pads, 2 master cylinders, bled the brakes many times and eventually glided into a telephone pole at 5mph since the brakes never properly worked after fixing just about everything.

What’s parked in your driveway now?

  • 2007 BMW 335i convertible with a Dinan flash and a 1999 Lexus RX300.

Does your car reflect your personality?

  • The BMW is mine and it does. The Lexus reflects the fact we have twin boys.

Favorite vehicle(s)?

  • Used to be the Tesla Roadster until I sat in one. I’m a fan of the Aston Martin DB9, M6 hardtop and the Fiskers, but really enjoy my current vehicle a lot. My absolute favorite car a BMW Z8…

Favorite vehicle…if money were no object?

  • Probably would buy an Aston Martin DB9 and the new Ferrari GT California for the warm days. I’m that rich, right?

Vanity Plates?

  • No thanks.

Must have car gadget?

  • Is a torque wrench a gadget? I’ll take that.

Favorite driving tunes?

  • Depends on if it’s top up or top down. Top down - Will Smith’s Summertime. Top up - 80s alternative.

Favorite Hollywood movie car?

  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California.
