Still Looks Sleek...

Sorry this took me so long - I’ve been kneedeep in Social Media!!

What was your first car?

  • My first car was a 1976 silver Honda Accord that used to be my Mom’s… 5-speed stick shift, great little car for a 16 year old.

Any significant memories w/that car?

  • The first car accident I was ever in, was in that car.  I was 17. The other driver was a 35 yr old white guy driving the exact same make, model, and year - and it was his fault… even according to the 8 witnesses that stopped to report it to the Sheriff. But the guy took one look at him, one at me, took his story and wrote ME the ticket.  Without listening to me or any of the witnesses.  He totaled my car - but it got dismissed in court b/c of the witnesses. I never forget it.  An early lesson on being judged by appearance.

What’s parked in your driveway now?

  • My baby - a black 2004 Honda CR-V.  I love that car!

Does your car reflect your personality? If so, how?

  • It’s perfect for me - it’s a mom-mobile that still looks sleek. She handles like a car, despite having the size of a smaller SUV.

Favorite vehicle(s)?

  • My CR-V!! I suspect I’d still drive it even if I won the lottery!

Favorite vehicle…if money were no object?

  • 1938 Bugatti or a 1954 Ford Victoria (white, red interior!)

Vanity Plates? If so - what’s on them?

  • Not for me. I can’t figure out what to put on them!

Must have car gadget?

  • I’m really enchanted with GPS now…

Favorite driving tunes?

  • I never settle on one thing - some days it’s the Doors, some days it’s Gogol Bordello, or the Police.

Favorite Hollywood movie car?

  • The supercharged V-8 “Pursuit Special” from Mad Max & the Road Warrior (aka a customized 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe)

Phew! Sorry that took me so long!
I’m also a huge fan of pretty much any American car made between 1938 & 1958 ;) but that’s another story.
