Eric,
Thanks for offering me your interview, it was a lot of fun.

  • What was your first car? Dad Bought me an Old’s 88 that I drove to death delivering pizzas. My first purchase was a manual transmission, blue, Hard-Top Suzuki Samurai. Great car, frequently broke down, but I swear I only put gas in it, like, five times in three years.
  • Any significant memories w/that car? Haha, yes. Started dating Mrs. ELROSS when I had that whip and we logged many a breakdown in rural Georgia together. Good times.
  • What’s parked in your driveway now? ‘04 Toyota Matrix
  • Does your car reflect your personality? If so, how? Beaten up, high mileage, lease about due, absolutely trashed by and used primarily to transport and contain children? Uh, yep, and the car, too.
  • Favorite vehicle(s)? Vehicle? ‘Cause I’m a big Space Shuttle guy…
  • Favorite vehicle…if money were no object? For my suborbital needs, money TRULY no object…I just have a Monorail built for any long range travel and locally I rock an old school, King-style palanquin, but with shocks.
  • Vanity Plates? If so - what’s on them? Nope. We do have a “Orlando FL Nude Beach Parking Permit” bumper sticker from Wonderworks on I-Drive, though.
  • Must have car gadget? All I really NEED in a car is AM/FM Radio, otherwise, shoot, I don’t even have power windows.
  • Favorite driving tunes? I always listen to the radio now, but back in the day I loved Rancid, Elastica, Pink Floyd, or whatever classic rock station to drive to. Radar Love being the greatest driving song…..ever.
  • Favorite Hollywood movie car? I saw somebody already snagged the Delorean, but I specifically request the Mr. Fusion flying upgrade version. When that thing rolled down the street and took off for the first time at the end of the first movie (I think)…..I just knew that someday I would have a flying time travel car, too. Still waiting, Doc.

Thanks Again,
Ross
