A Chauffeur…

Great idea! I can see a great book in all these answers one day.

  • What was your first car? A huge old Holden car in Australia… so big that it somehow took out large chunks of parking lots without any help from me.
  • Any significant memories w/that car? I was well into my twenties when I got my car. Even that didn’t make me a great driver. I have memories of the car stalling in the middle of a busy intersection and not being able to start it again. The road service came and told me I had to put the automatic car in neutral to start it. Doh. Another time I could hear a loud routine clunk while driving. About half an hour later stopped the car to find two flat tires.
  • What’s parked in your driveway now? a white minivan. Not parked really, sort of landed …
  • Does your car reflect your personality? It’s messy and it shows I am not interested in cars.
  • Favorite vehicle(s)? My feet.
  • Favorite vehicle…if money were no object? a chauffeur
  • Vanity Plates? If so - what’s on them? Something that made me look 20 years younger. Oh, you mean…those things on the front. Hate vanity plates. And hate stickers on cars, even if I agree with the sentiment.
  • Must have car gadget? GPS. Prevents arguments caused by “driving while married.”
  • Favorite driving tunes? My kids and I sing songs in French badly. Also Ray Charles, Carole King, Janis Joplin, Alela Diane, Paul Kelly, the Wiggles
  • Favorite Hollywood movie car? None, but love that bus in Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
