• What was your first car?

1970 Kelly Green Toyota Corolla. I was born in ‘71 so I thought it was pretty cool that my car was older than me.

• Any significant memories w/that car?

Only memories of many, many random car repairs. It was an early lesson in “the high cost of a cheap.”

• What’s parked in your driveway now?

2008 Lexus RX 400H (Hybrid). The hubster drives BMW 525xi.

• Does your car reflect your personality?

I had an identity crisis when I bought my current car. I have been driving Volvo’s for the past two decades. I even flew to the factory in Sweden to pick up my last Volvo, but I don’t love their current models and am getting impatient with the fact that they haven’t fully integrated bluetooth or nav. My husband prodded me to look at a Lexus. I don’t know that I would have bought one except that I was attracted to the hybrid. It’s a greenie feel-good kind of thing, but I’m really happy with it and love all the creature comforts. I suppose it does reflect my personality. It’s “responsible”, not overly ostentatious yet luxurious. It’s practical, but also red with lots of horsepower. Perfect car for someone who’s a Gemini in every sense of the word.

• Favorite vehicle(s)?

I just love cars—all sorts. I’m really attracted to the Lexus IS right now.

• Favorite vehicle…if money were no object?

If money were no object I would have dozens of cars. I can’t choose just one. Sports cars, SUV’s, classics, muscle cars. What can I say? I love cars.

• Vanity Plates? If so - what’s on them?

Not for me. I like to fly under the radar.

• Must have car gadget?

Integrated bluetooth. I live on and make a living on my phone. My car is a mobile office.

• Favorite driving tunes?

Classic rock—Aerosmith, AC/DC, Led Zep, Rolling Stones, etc. The louder the better.

• Favorite Hollywood movie car?

I’m a James Bond fanatic—I own every James Bond movie ever made and would be happy to take all comers in a Bond trivia challenge. One of the best parts of Bond is his ride…the car, I mean. Like I’ve said, I love cars of all sorts so it’s always fun to see what 007 is driving these days.
