What was your first car?

• 1972 Super Beetle

Any significant memories w/that car?

• I found a clean pair of the former owner’s panties in the luggage rack, under the speaker box.
  
  I drove it for five years and never really changed the oil. I’d just check the level once in a while and add some if it was low. The gas gauge didn’t really work, so I just topped it off every 120 miles.

What’s parked in your driveway now?

• Right now? Nothing. My wife has the car. It’s a Jeep Liberty.

Does your car reflect your personality?

• Yes. It has four-wheel drive and in a pinch I can sleep in the back.

Favorite vehicle(s)?

• None, really: I’d rather live where I can walk/bike where I need to go.
  

Favorite vehicle…if money were no object?

• I’d really love to have an update of the old Jeep Cherokee.

Vanity Plates?

• No vanity plates. I can barely clear my throat in seven alphanumerics.

Must have car gadget?

• Electrical outlet (formerly the cigarette lighter). I’d love to have two of these in the dash instead of just one, so I could listen to my iPod and charge a cell phone at the same time.

Favorite driving tunes?

• Cecilia Ann, by the Pixies.

Favorite Hollywood movie car?

• Herbie the Love Bug? Whatever John Wayne drove in McQ?
