What was your first car?

• 1978 Honda Civic. In-freakin-de-structable.

Any significant memories w/that car?

• Crashing it against a Volvo. Crashing it against a Van. Crashing it into a Mercedes. Pulling out the dented nose by lashing a rope around the body, the other end around a support in the garage and flooring it in reverse. Worked better than you might have guessed.

What’s parked in your driveway now?

• 2007 Subaru Legacy GT (320whp), 2008 Mazda RX-8 (stock), 1990 Mazda Miata Turbo (145whp), 1976 Subaru 1400, another 1990 Miata, and, today, a Honda Fit from the press fleet. Oh, and my wife has her Mazda3 parked in the driveway.

Does your car reflect your personality?

• Yes, all of them.

Favorite vehicle(s)?

• That I’ve driven so far, an Audi R8 manual. Didn’t like the DSG unit when I drive it at Laguna Seca.

Favorite vehicle…if money were no object?

• Not sure, haven’t driven the Veyron or an Auto Union yet.

Vanity Plates?

• Nope.

Must have car gadget?

• iPhone jack.

Favorite driving tunes?

• C89FM.

Favorite Hollywood movie car?

• The 1973 XB GT Ford Falcon Coupe from Mad Max.
