The Car Was Mint…

Introducing Adam Bush; Bush’s Auto Blog is an automotive website devoted to bringing you the latest car news and reviews daily. Clean, concise, unbiased and entertaining.

What was your first car?

  • My first car was a 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza which I purchased when I was 12 for $800, the car never made it to the road though (father/son project that was never completed).

The first car that I actually owned and drove daily was a 1983 Porsche 944 (Alpine White) which I drove in high school.

Any significant memories w/that car?

  • Many, many memories. Even though it was 15 years old at the time, the car was mint. Driving a Porsche in high school definitely has it’s benefits. In my senior year book, all of my friends had at least one memory listed that included that car.

What’s parked in your driveway now?

  • 2001 Laser Red Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, with 60,000 miles.

Does your car reflect your personality?

  • I think so. I live in the North East, so winters can be rough. I wanted a car that has class, fairly quick, dependable and can be driven in the snow with no worries.

Favorite vehicle(s)?

  • I’ve always been a Porsche guy. My father has owned two, my brother owned one and I have owned one. Lately, I’ve been a big fan of first generation 911’s and 912’s. Also, I will always have a fondness for the 944 and 968, I think it’s a timelessly cool design and too under-appreciated.

Favorite vehicle…if money were no object?

  • It’s a toss-up between a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series and the new V10 powered Audi R8.

Vanity Plates?

  • Nope.

Must have car gadget?

  • I’ve never really gotten sucked into the world of car gadgets. One feature that’s a must-have on a car though is all-wheel drive.

Favorite driving tunes?

  • Depends on the mood. However, if I’m just enjoying a relaxing drive, Eric Clapton Unplugged usually makes for a great soundtrack.

Favorite Hollywood movie car?

  • Steve McQueen’s 1968 Ford Mustang in Bullitt.
