What was your first car?

• 1996 Jeep Cherokee

Any significant memories w/that car?

• I went snowboarding a lot in high school and the nearest mountain was four hours away. One night, my friends and I were driving home from eight hours on the mountain and it was snowing so hard they closed the interstate. We decided to take a side road but soon found ourselves in the middle of a complete white-out. In the midst of the storm, we lost track of the road. Fortunately, two snow mobiles appeared and we followed them to the next town where we called it quits for the night.

What’s parked in your driveway now?

• My wife and I now share one car: 2006 C-230 Sport. We sold our second car last year - not out of financial need but rather to reduce our family’s impact on the environment. It took some time to adjust to the inconvenience of not having a second car but we have gotten used to it. Thankfully, we live off a major bus route in an urban area and my company provides a free Mass Transit pass.

Does your car reflect your personality?

• Since we originally purchased the car for my wife, it reflects her personality more than mine. She loves the style of the car and the service that comes along with the brand. As a senior manager for environmental communications at a Fortune 500 company, I would prefer something more fuel efficient. We intend to replace it within the next two years with a compromise between style and efficiency that can comfortably fit a family of four. (We are thinking about a Volvo.)

• Volvo V50, Fiat Punto (with EcoDrive), Citroen C5, Honda Element

Favorite vehicle…if money were no object?

• Tesla Roadster

Vanity Plates?

• Not a big fan of vanity plates …

Must have car gadget?

• EcoDrive (If only it were available in the US!)

Favorite driving tunes?

• Jason Mraz, David Grey, Jack Johnson, Kate Nash, Lily Allen, Benebar, Brel, Jamiroquai

Favorite Hollywood movie car?

• Peugot 406 in French Movie “Taxi”
